Blog's 1 Year Birthday!

 

Today is my blog's 1st birthday! So far I'm sure my only regular reader is my mom, but I have still enjoyed chronicling our French journey. 

It's also been about 5 months since my decision to more intentionally speak French to my daughters so I want to give a brief progress update:

4 year old Jubilee went from knowing colors, numbers, and basics but not really speaking more than these isolated words to the ability to say several short French sentences in a row! Her repertoire of simple French songs is now up to about 2 dozen. And because we learn through music and play, Jubilee still enjoys learning French.

This just emphasizes to me that early childhood is the perfect time to teach another language to our kids because they love it & pick it up so easily.

So I plan to continue sharing our journey and my favorite resources that help us along the way. While searching for French Resources, I can't find much for some subjects. So I'm taking note of these gaps, like US History and Bible, and might start making my own resources in the future.
