A more philosophical but still helpful post, especially for those like me who are starting a foreign language with a toddler, is Homeschool Language Learning with Littles.
She also does a helpful series called Homeschool Language Learning Apps: Duolingo (The Good). Over 3 posts she shares the good, the not so good, and her recommendations for how to use each app she reviews.
