Without a doubt the single most helpful Homeschool Mom blog for me is Jamie Martin’s Simple Homeschool.net! Jamie started the blog in 2010 and just celebrated her own “Homeschool Mom Graduation” as the last of her 3 kids finished homeschool with her.
The post that most impacted me is where Jamie summarizes her Homeschool Philosophy.
It was at SimpleHomeschool.net that I first learned about Leadership Education, the primary method I plan on drawing from when it is time to officially start homeschooling my girls.
What’s so great about the Simple Homeschool site is that as editor Jamie finds other great homeschool moms to contribute. So, you always get short, engaging posts with practical advice for homeschooling kids of all ages.
- An awesome annual “Day in the Life” Series
- Weekend Homeschool Links: Resource suggestions etc.
- Explanations of Homeschooling Methods and Best Practices
- Unique Methods like Interest-Led Learning & Gameschooling
The variety of contributors bring experience in homeschooling:
- Gifted or special needs children
- Large families or a single child
- Adopted and ethnically diverse children
I’ve also read and loved both of Jamie’s books: Give Your Child the World and Introverted Moms!
